Thanks peppypeep and Kricket! I am cautiously optimistic. If this round doesn't work (and I don't expect it will, for some reason...), I may see about doing 3 ET next time.
Will keep note of hyperstimulation symptoms... but man, I always feel like eating... Did get a little bloated and could tell my ovaries were swollen prior to retrieval, but wasn't uncomfortable.
Good luck to you ladies as well!
Thank you to all for your info. Good luck BabsNYC, hope you get a BFP!
I hope I can get half of the eggs you had! Like Kricket said, be aware that you still may experience hyperstimulation, if you feel really swollen and heavy, are short of breath and don't feel like eating - go home and lay down and call your doctor right away!!!
Keep the stories coming, I am very interested in this process.
Baby dust to all*********
Yeah, I was wondered about overstimulation too but they said it all looked good and didn't cancel the cycle. I didn't mention pregnancy... b/c I don't know yet! ;-) Go in on the 27th for blood test. Trying not to think about it... just eating really healthy and going about my day. But it does feel different from the IUI... I KNOW fertilization happened this time!
babsnyc those are great #'s & alot higher then average. Be careful not to be overstimulated. You didn't mention if you got pregnant?
I'm 39, just had my first IVF cycle, had a good reaction to the meds. 28 eggs retrieved, 22 fertilized (23 actually but one was kind of a dud). They did a Day 5 transfer, only 2 embryos (my request - the thought of triplets terrifies me, esp at my age). Had 8 Day 5s and 2 day 6's leftover for cyropreservation. Good luck to you!!
these are good responses.
