Hopefully you are pregnant now but I've read that Lupron is used in 3 types of IVF protocols - the long protocol, the flare protocol, and the stop protocol. The flare protocol is what is used generally for poor responders.
Good luck,
Thanks so much!!!! i really appreciate it! I'm very nervous about starting this whole process! Semi-IVF, what does that mean?? GOOD LUCK and keep us updated! : )
iread that lupron(a pitutary inhibitor)increases the success rates of IVF as it increases the quality of eggs, good luck in your IVF,iam trying this month semi-IVF protocol, has anyone tried it?
How long were you on the lupron beforehand? Is your endo bad?? Thanks so much and CONGRATS! : )
mine was for FET (frozen embryo transfers)
Did you use lupron with IVF or just lupron alone? do you have endo?? what worked for yall to get that bfp? Thanks so much! I appreciate it!
i have no problems with lupron
got preggo twice using
i have a brand new never opened box i am willing to sell if your doc decides you need it
good luck
I do know that many endo patients take Lupron but not sure whether it helps with ivf. Perhaps you can post this question on doc's forum although someone here may know the answer as well.
Good luck to you!!
Thanks so much for your response!!! I have read that in endo patients supression for 3-6 months helps... I feel like so many dr's press lupron on endo patients, so i just want to make sure that there is PROOF that its going to increase my chances if i'm going to go through 3-6 months of complete unfun! Thank you!
I started lupron injections today. I have not heard anything about lupron increasing ivf success. I am not sure how extending the suppression stage of the protocol can improve success rates. I am sure it does not increase probability of implantation but I think you will have to ask an expert about lupron increasing follicle production or quality of embryos. I have not heard anything like that but then I am not a doc.
I wish I could be more helpful....
