Luteal Phase

Hey Guys! First of all I hope everyone has a great 4th of July. Hre's is my situation. My last cycle was like 42 days long. I am usually around 29-31 I have never had a set day. Well, I took like a bunch of tests all negative. Then at day 13 I got my period again. This time it lasted a full 6 days. I haven't had a full 6 day period since I was like 18. Ever since then I have had 3 days periods. Well my question is if my cycle was for only 13 days then it wouldn't leave me much time for a luteal phase. Has anyone gone through this before? My mom has a histerectomy when she was like 30 so it worries me. I am only 23 and although I am not actively trying to get pregnant I would absolutely be devastated if I never had the chance to experience it. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help girls! I scheduled a doctors appointment. They are setting me up with a facility that has ultrasound capabilities in the event that they need to run addtional test. It scares me. I am too young to be going through this stuff, you know. But you have given me good options.

It may just be an annovulatory cycle and your body started a new one. I have had that happen 2 or 3 times in my history. Do you get regular gyno check ups?

You should really see your OBGYN or an RE.
I have had short luteral phases, but I am 44.  I am lucky because I concieved my DD at 40 naturally.  I would love another baby, but I am having no luck now even with IVF.
Speak to your RE about your Moms history and how it might relate to you and then I would seriously consider having some of your eggs frozen for future use.
I know many women are not ready to have babies when they are most fertile, but this will allow you to have your babies when you are ready - without taking a chance that you may not have one at all.
I wish I had considered this option when I was your age.
