Meds Question

It's been forever since i've been on here! hi to all!!!!
i have a question about my meds. i did an ivf cycle in august of 2010 which ended in miscarriage. i had some left over lupron. i'm now starting a new ivf cycle and as of last night i had to start the lupron shots. well the dr's office never ordered any lupron probably because i told the nurse that i had some still left from the last cycle that wouldn't be expired until 06/12. when i called the nurse line just to verify that i was taking the right meds she made me nervous and said that usually they don't like for pts to use meds that have been opened 30 days after the 1st use.. do u think i'll be ok? has anybody ever used meds from their 1st cycle that were a couple of months old and still had a success? the lupron is not subjected to the air because it has a rubber stopper in it.. the nurse said she was going to order me a freh supply that will come to my house on tuesday... i just hope that this won't be a problem..

I havd some that was expired and my dr let me use it because he said it is good for 6 months after experiation. I wouldnt worry to much about it. I also used some that i had left that was in date this cycle. I went one day longer then expected is why he let me us the expired. Good luck.

yeah I agree with mhv - call the pharmacist. I know with follistim, once it's opened you only have 28 days to use it. It also has a stopper type thing on the tip. however, if it has never been open/used, it is good.
