Metformin for PCOS

Hi there. I am about to start metformin for my PCOS next week at the start of my new cycle. Will this help me to ovulate and help improve my chances of conceiving? We are trying for baby number two, this will be our ninth month. I was put on clomid 50mg to help us conceive our first baby two years ago. My transvaginal sonogram showed i have PCOS on my left ovary, but my right ovary was clear. I also have a tilted uterus. Would this hinder our chances of conceiving? Thankyou in advance x

Metformin is highly known for it's help with ovulation with PCOS patients.  F.Y.I., eat with your Metformin and don't take it late at night.  Diarrhea is VERY common with this medication until your body gets used to it!  Good luck on baby #2!

Hi Naomi,

I don't know about metamorfin so hopefully someone else who knows will chime in.  But how many cycles did you take the Clomid before you got a BFP with your first?  I'd say your chances are still the same now and that the tilted uterus shouldn't hinder you since it was most likely tilted at that time.

I hope you get your BFP real soon!
