Not responding to STIMS

Day 6 of STIMS, estradiol levels 41 and only 3 follicles. Doctor increased my Gonal F from 225 to 300 IU and continued with Merional 150 IU and Decapeptyl 0.1mg.
Has anyone else had these kind of results? This is my first round of IVF and I am so disappointed. The doctor had expected more follicles. My question is, by increasing the dose could more follicles produce at this stage since I'm already on Day 6?

Hi!
I respond to high doses, I've had 2 IUIs the last 2 months and am in my 3rd try. I get HMG 450IU (it is FSH+LH) for 11 days before my follicles are the right size. On Day 6 they are not even visible. But by Day 11 they get to 18 or 20, and I usually have 2-3 in each ovary. I'm sure you have more follies, increasing the doseage will make them mature faster.

So hang in there and don't worry. Everyone responds differently and each cycle too is different.

I can only imagine how frustrating this is! I have only done IUIs (IVF in March) and I know how you feel! I hope that there is time for those follies to grow and I pray that you have a successful IVF : ) Good LUCK!

smaller ones not seen may pop up. but he probably also wants your estradiol levels higher.  the increase in meds will push your follicles to mature faster.
