Anyone Needing Hope? New Cycle Watch #1

I can't seem to post to my thread so I am starting a new one.  It wouldn't let me post all day yesterday...

Anyway, in continuation...Hello Ladies I come bringing hope.  Ironically that wasn't the message in my name, babyhope but since we are all hoping for babies, here is an update and 10 things to help you cope:

bny807 - 2IUI/Femora-Thinking of IVF (keep us updated on your consult!)
Tarobinc - 2 IUIs - Thurs 5/8; bravelle 5/4, trigger 5/13
Skipili - CD6 (starting 4/30)
iunderstand69 - welcome to the forum!

babyhope1-starting 2nd IUI cycle, CD3, ultrasound 5/6

10 things to help you cope, to read the details log into babycenter.com:

Recognize that fertility problem is a crisis.
Don’t blame yourself.
Work as a team with your partner.
Educate yourself.
Set limits on how long you’re willing to try.
Decide how much you’re willing to pay.
Connect with others who can relate on one of our Fertility Problems bulletin Boards. (Hey, we are all doing this one!)
Just say no to baby-focused activities (baby showers, etc.)
Balance optimism and realism.
Take care of yourself by pursuing other interests.
Remember, laughter is one of the best healers.

All my love and strength,

Feel free to join, I am tracking a full cycle starting now, anyone with us?

So I'm on CD9 waiting to O. I went and got some OPK and I'm going to start using them at the beginning of next week. I use the FF chart to track stuff but it says I O 2 days after I think I do (like 18CD). So hopefully the OPK will be pretty acurate. My cycles average 31-32 days. Does anyone else have 30+ day cycles? I wonder why it's so long.

dnikki - Sorry about your m/c last month. It stinks, I know because I went through that last summer.  But keep in good spirits and focus on getting pg this month. Sounds like your on your way with the good RE follow up. SBD*****

babyhope - Thanks for the post. It's nice to go through the full cycle together. Connecting with each other really does help to cope. SBD****

Ok, just had the IUI today. All went well! Thanks again babyhope for starting this new post.  It really does help to have women to talk to this about.  I can't express how much happier I have been since joining this site and meeting so many supportive women!

skipili:  I used to have 30+ day cycles.   have read that everyone can ov , on average, anywhere from 5-20 days, basically it can really vary.  The luteal phase, though, is pretty much the same for everyone, about 12-14 days after the big O but if on progestrone after ov, which I am, af shouldn't  show up until a few days after I stopped the progrestrone.  So, it would make sense that if you didn't ov until day18, then your luteal phase would be at least 12-14 days afterwards, making for a 30+ day cycle.  I hope this helps!

Good luck to everyone this cycle.  I hope we all get what we want!

Thanks tarobinc for the info. It does make sense. My side hurt and I had EWCM CD16. Maybe I was getting ready to O. Who knows. Hopefully the OPK will be on the mark this month.

asking - Welcome! How long have you been ttc?

We've been without protection for 4 years and really ttc for about 2 of those years. No kids for me yet. Won't it be great when we do finally get pg? All the hard work will pay off in the end for us. Have you done the IUI's and all that stuff as well?

Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot. I don't tell my friends aything anymore. They mean well but I get tired of them telling me it'll happen when you least expect it or maybe your not meant to have kids on your own and should adopt. I do talk to my cousin. She had an easy time getting pg but had 4 end in m/c. She finally found out she had blood clotting and had to give herself shots her whole pregnancy. She can relate to me as can the kind women here.

I did Clomed for 3 months. That made me feel icky. I've had the test to check to see if my tubes are clear. 1 IUI last month. I have to pay for everything so I can't keep at it every month with the RE.

anytime, we have to be here for eachother, like you said, our friends mean well, but they just dont understand, my friends and family think (like most do) it happens like on tv....not quite =) when they found out about me doing IVF, my mom especially was like *GASP* OMG your gonna have like 5 babies.....No Mom, im not, ill be lucky if i have one!! =)

i did clomid with my IUI and i responded to it with 3 eggs, one was mature before the other 2, but they followed after i got the HCG shot, BFN though =(  i hope this works out for you! i hope this month is the month for us all trying and letting this take over an control us, because it does and you cant help it! ive been blessed with some amazing insurance, but i only have a $15,000 lifetime maximum and i wont know how close to that i am till after this IVF cycle. i MIGHT get one FET if LORD FORBID this doesnt end positively *fingers crossed*

I always need support i dont have any1 i can talk to about this kind of stuff. I tried that staying away from baby activities like showers but when i refused to go to his cousins my DH told i had gone over the deep end and was completly nuts for NOT being able to deal w/infertility so from now on im keeping my yap shut!! Anyway i been off B/C for 5yrs been TTC w/DH for the last 3yrs actually trying for 6 months no luck of course I havent to gone to the dr yet no insurance hoping by next year i will settled enough to start putting $$ towards the tests and stuff. Im just charting and stuff right now and taking Vitex.

I'm glad you have some insurance to help you out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this IVF will end with a BFP for you. I am able to get new insurance this summer with my new job. They will cover diagnostic procedures to find out why I can't get pg. I guess IUI's and blood work will be covered if the RE codes them the right way. It doesn't cover meds or IVF's though but any little bit will help.

gokuangel - Welcome! I have to go to a baby shower in a few weeks. Ugh!!! I know how you feel. It's good that you are starting to chart. Hopefully you will get your BFP before you have to end up going to the RE. What is Vitex?

TYVM!! Oh they are horrible hopefully you dont get any1 patting ur stomach and asking when ur gonna be next my DH's relatives do that and guess think i dont know what they mean since theyre speaking spanish and im white but i aint dumb go figure. Oh i hope so its be so long im afraid of what the doc will say if i have to go. We only have one RE in my town and i probably wont be able to go w/no insurance; I'm looking at this clinic that lets you pay out the visits the doc. is a fertility specialist.  Vitex helps regulate ur cycles and makes you O. I wasnt O'ing b4 i started taking it but now i get the signs and the CM so i really like it.

Ok, not sure what the heck is going on with my body but after my IUI, my lower gi tract has been revolting against me.  Anyone else have this happen to them?  Im thinking its my reaction to the trigger shot.  Im going to look up that med and see what the side effects are.

I had a little touch of this last cycle, after the IUI, but this is much worse. I have very little desire to eat (which is so not me) and I feel like my lower abdominal area is doing nothing but having spasms.

You should see if the RE in your town will see you without insurance. Maybe they can start you off with less expensive meds like clomed or something so at least you can have a little help ttc while you save up. Sometimes the RE will charge a little less knowing you have to pay out of pocket. It's worth a shot.

Not too bad an idea i guess couldnt hurt to call. I would love love to go to this doctor knowing that she is an RE and a girl. I went to a regular OB/GYN last time (I didnt get to finish the testing me and my X split) and when i had some bad tests results for something else he was such a jerk to me made me feel like complete s*** to say the least and i have no intention of going bk to him. Yeah i figured thats what they do anyway i always heard they do the more expensive stuff later on. I'm just so hoping i fall into the 85% catagory that just needs a lil medical intervention and not the other one that they dont know what the heck is going on w/.

I just got your email.  I would love to join!  I am on cycle day 8 today!  I am new to this webstie and I am not sure what all of these abbreviations mean! I  had an hsg, bloodwork and my husband has been tested.  Still nothing has happened. I have an appt on Tuesday to see if my gyn will put me on clomid.  I had thyroid surgery last year and I am on medication for that.  I also have endometreosis.  I have been tracking my ovulation on the clearblue easy monitor computer kit for 5 months now.  This month I am doing BBT and the new ovulation kit by clearblue easy.  Okay, let me know what to do from here.  I love to pray and I would be happy to pray and be here for everyone with a positive word!   I want to be pregnant more than anything and I know how frustrated I have been every month!

Skipili-I have a 32 day cycle it stinks waiting so long but it extends another day every three cycles or so.  Anyway, I hear 28-32 is normal.

Ladies – It is alright to not go to a babyshower. If it's taking you longer to get pregnant than you expected, feeling disappointed is natural. Building a family and parenting are, for most people, fundamental parts of life, and when they don't come easily, it can make you feel as if something is wrong with you. But don't blame yourself — or each other. Realize and accept that you and your partner will have some ups and downs as you work at getting pregnant. For starters, talk to each other and seek out the advice of other couples who are also still trying.
