Post harnia repair, pregnancy planning

Hello,
This is Lopa from pune. I would like to be sure and, completely free from my doubts related to my health issues.
I got my 2 cesarean operation done on 2nd Feb 2010 and  7th Oct 2011 respectively. Unfortunately I lost my 2nd kid . It was a baby girl. She had a chronic lungs disease. After my 2nd delivery I got to know regarding my umbilical hernia.I got my hernia operation done on 6th July 2012.
This is my history regarding my health. I am completely OK right now. I am also doing yoga and started exercise moderately. I just want to know,
when I should plan for my 3rd pregnancy?

Am i completely free from risk, and not going to have hernia again?

My hernia size was 1.3 cm. What  should be taken care of before planning for  the pregnancy?

In my case what should be the time gap for planning the next  pregnancy?

If any good suggestions are there, then kindly help me in that regard. My husband fears if I will be in high risk , if I will go for further Pregnancy. If  my plans will get proper guidance, then i will be ever thankful to you.

Regards,
Lopamudra ,Pune

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
An incision hernia is fairly common after A Csection. It occurs when the stitches break down on the muscle layer before healing has completely taken place. The structures under that layer of muscle can protrude through the hole causing a lump under the skin. It can be easily avoided by regular exercise as and when recommended by your doctor. Take a diet that is low in salt and high in fiber to prevent bloating and constipation. Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid bloating. Regarding pregnancy it all depends on your overall health and general condition. It is more than a year since the hernia repair. I would suggest you to consult a gynecologist before planning to conceive again. She knows your medical history details and only after complete clinical examination it can be decided if pregnancy will be safe for you or not. I sincerely hope it helps.
Best wishes and regards!
