when to use a hpt after ET

Could someone help, when should a hpt be used after a day 3 ET? I used one on day 5 and got a negative, not even a faint line. Does this mean it's positively -ve or is it to early??
I have been so depressed since.

Not a problem. I know the waiting is hard. I usualy end up taking like 10 tests total...LOL... because I take one like everyother day until day 14. You can do that if it helps you pass the time, but just keep in mind that it may not be correct until you reach that 14 day mark, even then your levels might not be high enough. Are they going to do a BETA on you?

I'll try to wait that long. All this waiting is doing my head in.
Thank you for your response, it's comforting to be able to ask and talk to someone.

it is too early hun. The ideal time is 14 days, but we all know how hard it is to wait. If I were you I would try to wait at least until 10 and even then if it is BFN don't get discouraged. Your levels just might not be high enough yet.
