I never started BBT's because I wake up at different times everyday Sometimes 5am and most of the time around 9:30am. I also wake up alot in the early morning around 6am because of sun shining thru the windows and then go back to sleep I don't think the BBT's will be accurate.
Have you tried bbt in addition to opks? It doesn't tell you when you'll o, but it will tell you that you o'd. It's nice to know when to stop using the sticks.
Thanks Tina for your post. A friend of mine was religious about OPKS but the month she got prego she never got a positive OPK so I guess there is hope for me that I will ovulate or already did.
I have had pos opks nearly every cycle that I have actually o'd. I have had cycles where I didn't o and of course, didn't get a pos. And, I have had a couple of cycles that came very close to pos and did o. But, it never turned fully pos.
Some women have naturally lower Lh and it is normal. The sensitivity of opks varies greatly brand to brand. It is possible your surges don't quite reach the trigger point on the brand you are buying. The lowest sensitivity strips that I know of are found at the link below. The are also much less expesive than the ones at CVS or Walgreens.

A surge range between 20-40 is normal. But, some tests are only sensitive to 30 or 40. A 20 wouldn't show pos, and 20 is normal for many, many women. That is why they say the tests don't work for about 20% of women. HTH
