Questions about IUI..

How many IUI's did it take to get pregnant?
Did you do natural or medicated?
Did you use frozen donor, or fresh sperm?
What were your symptoms after IUI?


This was my first natural IUI. I am 10dpIUI. I've been having cramping/pulling over my right ovary. Pressure/light cramping. Back pain. Heavy Breasts and Hot flashes. Blood work on Friday at 13dpIUI.

I am also on my second IUI - first one failed.

1st cycle - 100mg clomid
                - 2 bravelle injections
                - estrogen
                - trigger shot ( hcg shot)
Only produced one follicle on this cycle.

2nd Cycle - 150 clomid
                  - 3 bravelle injections
                  - estrogen
                  - trigger shot

-I haven't done trigger yet, I have my ultra sound for my follicle study tomorrow to see if i have more than one follicle this time...we're hoping.

I am 34, therefore treatments are being kinda aggressive.

I'm heading into my second IUI. First one failed. My doctor said there is a 15% chance of conceiving and a little less than that for me because of my age. The nurses at the clinic say that most people try and are successful after 3 tries. Hope this helps!

Hi,

I have now had 4 IUI.  The first on clomid didn't work.  The second on clomid did, but I had an early miscarriage.  The third on femara worked but I lost it at 10 weeks.  This 4th (waiting for period now) on femara hasn't worked.

I will try again immediately next cycle.  They are putting me on progesterone now, theorising that maybe I'm losing the babies due to luteal phase defect.

i have post the same question of how many women have gotten preg with the iui and i have gotten no response either... this is my next option but with no response it doesnt look like a good way to go.. i know everyone is different but i am trying to do research before going through it and know what people have experienced ect... i wish u lots of luck
