Recent ectopic

I recently had an ectopic pregnancy (09/04/2013 removal surgery) after having my right tube removed I was told I have slight damaged on my left tube. Wanting to get back to normal n feeling horny I insisted my partner bought condoms. We have had intercourse several times but some forgetting the condoms having previously been ttc. Is it too soon? Could I have caused more damage? I have been sooo moody today... I may be due "on" but what if its more and my body isn't ready??

Hi. My period has come so all is well. The cause for the ectopoc is unknown ov never had an sti and am 26. I think I remember being told my remaining tube has some damage but surely if this was enough to cause further problems they would of removed it there and then? Feeling particularly low today as a friend of mine who has had miscarriages has told us all she is 12 wk 5 days pregnant which is roughly where id be. I feel awful for feeling like this I want to b happy for her, she deserves it so much. But it still hurts...
anyway any advise would be appreciated.  I have a follow up on 6th of june. X

Hi there,
After an ectopic pregnancy you should wait for at least two normal cycles or three months before trying to conceive again. This allows your body to recover from treatment and to prepare for next pregnancy. What was the cause of your ectopic? If it was some pelvic infection like Chlamydia, testing and antibiotic treatment for this might be helpful to reduce the risk of a future ectopic. It is safe to have sexual intercourse once any bleeding and discharge have stopped .You can get pregnant and conceive normally with only one tube intact. It all depends on your age, general condition and the health of your tubes. If you are doubtful take up pregnancy test. Visit a gynecologist for more queries and assistance. I hope it helps.
Take care and regards!
