CD18-Progesterone level tested-what exactly does it mean?

The b/w today said my Progesterone level was 25.  The doctor said that was a great number and I don't need to have vaginal suppositories.  I have googled what exactly that means and can't find anything except that a lot of levels are in the 100's.  Can someone shed a bit of light on what all this means.  I never realized just how many intricate details there are just in TTC.  I wish it were as easy as egg + sperm = pregnant.  :-/

Thank you for clearing that up.  The numbers really confused me and 160 is much higher than 25.

A 25 is a great progesterone number! Like Bellie said, anything over 10 in a non-medicated cycle and 15 in a medicated cycle is considered good (my RE even says anything over 12 in a medicated cycle is good). A level over 100 is actually pretty uncommon unless you have a lot of eggs release. I only had a CD21 level over 100 once and that was when I was on femara and menupur. Best of luck this month!

Congratulations!  If you did an HCG shot that means that it was out of your system by 10DPO?  Sunday will be 10DPO for me so I'm hoping it will have worked through my system and will give me what I want!  :-)

This is my first cycle of 25mg of Clomid and Ovidrel with IUI.  I did the Clomid generic last year for 3 cycles (50mg) with no luck.  We found out DH was having some issues (hence why the IUI).  My doctor was really surprised that my body responded so well this time around without having to do Follistim injections or a vaginal suppository.  Last week's u/s showed my uterin lining was only about 6.5 so they thought I would have to take the suppository.  I'm sorry I ask so many questions but I really didn't know all that really has to happen just to make a baby.  The doctor said if I don't get my period by next Wednesday they'll do a pg test.  I've waited 2 years for a BFP (3 if you count the first year we were married and didn't use any form of BC).  I really don't know if I can wait any longer.  I may test on Sunday but really don't want to get a false +.

What day did you take a test?  What meds, if any, did you take?  Good luck and I hope you get/got a BFP!

what cycle day are you on?? I had a 21 day one done while ttc after being on Clomid and having lows of only 8 and it was 22..it was also the month I conceived.  I learned that docs look for 10 and over on a normal non-medicated cycle and 15 plus on a medicated cycle (like Clomid). 20 means that is high enough to sustain a pregnancy if the egg was fertilized. When my doctors ofice called with my results, they told me to make sure that I take a test..so I think yours is probably a good indication that this is it for you!!! Keep me posted!!
