Spotting

m55
I need some help in knowing what my chances are of being pregnant. I finished my packet of birth control yesterday and am expecting my period to begin in 3-5 days. However I noticed a light, brown discharge which I assume to be spotting. I have never spotted before however I changed the type of pill I am using 4 months ago. I had had sex approximately 5 times in the last week, using a condom all except once. That one time we did not use one the man "pulled out". Further, I was late in taking the pill a few times over the week, but never more than a few hours; I would not say that i missed a pill.
My concern is that I may be pregnant as I have heard that implantation bleeding occurs right before you can expect your period, yet it seems unlikely that I could be. Could anyone offer some insight?

I would say that you aren't pregnant. When coming off the pill, it can take up to a month or so before the hormones are out of your system/back to normal. So you'll probably have to wait a month or so before you might actually conceive.

I just wanted to add that the "spotting" lasted only that one day.
