I have been going for acupuncture since early August and really like it. My dr. actually recommended it. Whether it helps for egg quality, who knows??? I am in my two week wait after my first ivf cycle and my egg quality wasn't the best apparently. However, it truly is relaxing. I always scheduled my sessions on Friday afternoons and felt that it helped me to unwind after the stress of work and the ivf process. The needles do not hurt at all either! There was only one time where my acupuncturist must have gone too deep on my back that it hurt.
Me and my husband were trying for a while, and after 2 Failed IUIs i tried Acupuncture, and got pregnant right away, i swear by it, i am almost 28 weeks pregnant and still go once a month, i think it really helped, i also made my husband go before we did our 3rd IUI and his count was unbelievable, so i would highly recommend to those who are trying for a while.
Plus it makes you feel good and if you go to a right specialist they definitely will have you with that process.
Acupuncture is great for relieving alot of things. I have been going for 3 months, and also for Myo-Fascial Release Massage. I have info on my "blog" on here if you want to read. I'm using the "blog" as my research saver....if that makes any sense. It doesn't really "hurt" unless they get a nerve that is trying to release a muscle you are having problems with (as was my case a couple of times - went all the way up my leg and down my arm)
Good luck! Enjoy!!
i was also thinking about giving that a shot. I was a little nervous since i'm not fond of needles but anything to get preggo!
I will let you know soon..I had accupanture before my IUI and my beta testing is on monday. If it will be BFP, then yes, accupanture definately help, and also yoga..I always feel very relaxed after accupanture. You should try it!
I've been doing acupuncture since Feb. and I've heard great things about it helping with fertility. I have blocked tubes so it wont help me there, but I do it for stress and maybe it does help with egg quality. I had my IVF retrieval last week of very healthy eggs I didn't think about acupuncture helping but it probably did. It can't hurt and feels great. Good luck
