anything I should know about transfer? it's tomorrow...

Anything I need to know about fresh embryo transfer?
I have an extremely small bladder so I'm worried about how full my bladder has to be (anyone know)?
Does it hurt?
Why do people say they have bloating after? What causes that?
Thanks!

the full bladder is a little uncomfortable but u'll be fine. i almost peed myself! lol!

i don't know if u heard about the pineapple thing, but i guess anything is worth trying as long as it doesn't harm u. they say that the core of a pineapple is good for a womans uterus. so what ur supposed to do is get a pineapple, skin the rind off of it and then cut it in 5 pieces. eat one piece of pineapple, core and all for the next 5 days starting on the day of transfer. then after ur finished don't eat anymore pineapple.

good luck to u and i hope those babies stick like glue!!!

I didn't do a mock transfer and everything was fine. Just drink your water and make sure you don't feel too full.. just full enough. I was paranoid about the water thing and it turned out to be nothing.

Thanks everyone!
Happynifer--no, my dr did not give me a mock transfer ultrasound.  Should he have done that? I've had ultrasounds of course, just not a mock transfer ultrasound...

I have learned that my Dr's are always late so I started drinking late.  I drank 1 1/2 bottles of the regular size water & was fine.  When I drank 2 bottles I was in alot of pain......

Good Luck to you.

Anything you need to know? Yes, you're about to have little embies put inside of you. YAY!!!  Doesn't hurt at all. Bladder thing isn't bad, just a little uncomfortable but not painful. And as she said above, if you aren't bloating now, you likely won't. I was bloated at retrieval and stayed that way.

Just relax, go home and REST... and the best part is you get to start waiting all over again  :-)

Your bladder needs to be big enough to be able to get a good view of your uterus on the ultrasound.  You had a mock transfer ultrasound before your cycle started right?  same thing.
The transfer did not hurt at all.  Not one bit :)
The bloating isn't from the transfer, it's from the stims and your ovaries being big.  So if you aren't bloated yet, you are probably going to be ok, unless you get bloated from the progesterone.
RELAX and try to take it easy :)
