bleeding 10 days after transfer

This is my 2nd attempt at IVF. The first attempt i had one embryo put back on day 5 at blastocyst and started to bleed on day 10 after transfer. I did a pregnancy test that day and it showed positive and carried on so for the next 4 days then it went to negative so they thought it was an early miscarrige. This time i have had 2 put back on day 2 as my clinic said i had one really good embryo with no fragmentation. Today is day 10 for me and i have started with cramps and bleeding again. Im am so upset- i called my doctor and she said it maybe just one of the embyos has been rejected and the other may have implanted (a long shot i feel) Has anyone had this bleeding when having 2 embryos put back and still had a single pregnancy? Please reply if anyone has any advice im in bits at home not knowing what to do with myself! xxx

FREE? WOW! In California, insurance does not pay one bit for fertility. I've done 8 IVF's - all out of pocket. At this point, we've spent about $90,000 USD in hopes for ONE child. My last attempt at IVF was in Asia. The success rate is in the 90%. I'm on my TWW now. It's killing me. I'll let you all know if I'm preggers! I sure hope so. If not, we are BROKE as broke can be. So no more IVF's for me. Also, I wanted to mention this - my girlfriend who did 18 IVF's, got pregnant one and miscarried. Now she has breast cancer. Sorry to hear negative result, 6 free attempts sounds awsome, we got none, £15000 down , no ivf baby and all because I am 41,best wishes with your next round, lots love melissax

Hi everyone. Thankyou for all your msgs. My result was negative! We have booked again for January though at least i get 6 free attempts on the NHS because i am under 39 so im hoping one of the treatments will result in a pregnancy! The doctor doesnt know why it didnt work they said there is no medical reason why i shouldnt get pregnant through IVF as my eggs are healthy,we have good quality embryos and have a good womb lining which makes things worse because it is so un lucky why it hasnt worked this time!
Does anyone have any encouring stories on IVF working on a 3rd + attempt?

Hi. Is the blood dark or bright red ? If it is dark it may be implantation bleeding. Your pregnancy test should be done on day 14, some drs do t a bit sooner. I had 2 embryos blastocyte FET and had very minimal darkish blood spotting and I am now 6 mos pregnant with single baby. I wish you the best !

HI, i was spotting day 12 and day 14, i m currently taking gestone injections and cylokolapron to stop the bleeding. Feeling confident that 1 of the 6 will attach itself and survive. Today is day 15, got my blood test on mon 18.10/2010...cannot wait for the results. Hang in and be postive.

Bed rest is good for you, feet up and relax. dont stress...

Hello, the reason this has to be our last ivf is simply we have no more money. Here in England if you are over 39 you get no help, I am just 41 and we've used all our savings and more(£15000), it is unfair, also my dr has said I have very poor egg reserve. heres still hoping for a miracle, I am now 7dp 2dt and have a week to go.best of luck with the test, I know bleeding hasnt been a good sign for me but on this forum I've read lots of positive outcomes. let me know how it goes, never give up hope, lots love melissax

Aw thanks for replying Melissa. How do you cope you seem so strong! Last time i had miscarrige i had such a bad time and made myself really poorly with depression and panic attacks. There is hope for you this time though friends of ours got pregnant first time-they had 2 poor quality embryos put back and 1 of them took so there is hope yet hun! Im sorry to hear this will be your last attempt, why is that? Weve said we are going to keep on trying until it happens but easier said then done! Dont know what i will do if it never works i would definatly try surragacy. Any way please keep in touch! And lots of good luck to you lots of love Fran xx

Hello, sorry again you are at a very anxious time, BFP means big fat positive and BFN big fat negative, I got pregnant with my 1st ivf attempt but bled at about 5 weeks and had early miscarriage, 2nd ivf negative and I am now on the 2ww of our 3rd and final ivf, dont hold out much hope as hadt 2 cell 2 day transfer, slow to divide, best wishes for tomorrow, lots love melissax

My preg test is tomorrow im having a blood test at my clinic. Thankyou for your replies. Could you tell me what BFP means i keep seeing it written everywhere? Also Melissa have you become pregnant through ivf? I dont understand why this keeps happening to me ive done everything right? xxx

So sorry to hear your going through this again, I was similar, on ivf 1 bled after getting BFP, said was early miscarriage. 2 nd ivf bled from day 11 of 2 day transfer, got bfn. I only had 1 embryo put back each time but have heard that sometimes if you've had 2 or 3 put back you may only be losing 1 but also I was told its usually at a later stage i.e if you bleed at 5 weeks onwards. cant be more positive but hang in there, its never over till its over, best wishes melissax

I have heard many stories about people bleeding during the tww. Sometimes that is a good sign......hang in there.  When is your test?
