Hi. I was doing acupuncture once a week for about six months. I found it very relaxing but unfortunately did not make me get pregnant. However, I have read many articles where statistics reveal the increased chances of pregnancy when doing acupuncture and IVF. (Do a search on the net). She also gave me some herbal supplements to take. I was taking them right up until the morning of my lap. When the doctor found out I had been taking them, he refused to do my lap and so it was postphoned. Since then I have not taken them (all up with herbs and acupuncture it was quite expensive). So now, I am going just once a month around ovulation time. It is relaxing though, and that is good for getting pregnant....good luck!!!!
This is currently my second cycle with acupuncture, but we are doing IUI. We've been trying for a year and in Sept. went back to our RE and started clomid and no luck. Last cycle I started acupuncture and me RE made a comment on how very thick my uterine lining was and the "two beautiful eggs. Well, I was p /g but had a "chemical pregnancy." To me, I think it really does help, and there is alot of research backing it up. I find it very relaxing every time I go. I usually fall asleep. I'm not sure about the herbs, as my acupunturist does not give me any. If they want you take some, I suggest clearing it with you doc before hand. Hope this helps a bit!!
GOOD LUCK :)
