clomid brand name vs generic

I'm new to this website.  Question, I'm soon to be taking my  third dose of clomid.   I haven't picked up my prescription yet but, i'm lost..  I don't know whether to take the generic or name brand.  Ive been taken the generic(clomiphene citrate) for the past two cycles with no luck..  Dr said he would rather me be on the brand name.  It is more expensive.  I don't know what to do.  So If anyone is out there, please let me know before I go and pick up my rx in a few minutes.   Thanks

I have been told that generic can be off by 30 micrograms either way (more or less) I didn't find that out until I used the generic. On brand name clomid I would produce two good follies and when I went to generic I produced one. So it was either the generic that did it, or my body getting used to the clomid (had been on it for 7 months then switched to generic the 8th month). Anyways, I am now switching to femara to see if that works :)
Good Luck :)

Hi. I just thought that I would suggest getting the name brand. I know that they are more expensive but at the same time if the generic hasn't helped maybe it is worth a shot. I know that birth control and clomid aren't the same but I have found that name brand versions of them are better than the generic, maybe this applies for the clomid as well..
