curious and nervous!

i'm nearing my start date for IVF and i'm more nervous than EVER! i was wondering if anybody who has damaged fallopian tubes and did IVF had a successful procedure the FIRST TIME? also can anybody give me a little detail on how long IVF takes before they implant the egg? i know the dr's say it's about 3 months all together. is the 1st month just testing, and the 2nd month fertility medicine and 3rd month the IVF procedure itself?

I have both tubes blocked and RE said that haveing them complety blocked  or no tubes at all is good for IVF you dont have to worry about tuble PG and or leakage from the tubes ! And every ones IVF cycles are different as we are all different :-) Do you know what prodocol you are going to be on ?? I was on a long prodocol and I was on BCP for 3 weeks then Lupron and now stims .

Are you presently on birth control pills? With a perfect cycle, it may take approximately 3 months. With my last cycle I started taking birth control pills in Sept. and had my transfer in Nov. But prior to this I had to go through all the screening test so, if you respond well to the medications..your cycle should be about 3 months. Good luck!

Well its sometimes isnt that easy. all your levels are checked and medications changes(increase/decrease). I've been on lupron twice.. lol.. they found a small fibroid.. Had to start all over again,, I been on stims for awhile had to reorder more meds.. But finally having my transfer maybe friday or saturday and its my first try.. So i wish you a easy process and baby blessings. But Just keep God in your heart and dreams will be a reality.
