last period 55 days ago! Negative pregnancy test!!

Hi, I am having a little bit of bother in understanding whats going on with my body! My periods have been fairly regular ranging from 30 to 32 days! 3 months ago it changed to 36 days, then the month after it was 47 days and now I am on day 55 since my last period and I dont know what to think. I am trying for a baby, and have had unprotected sex however I get mixed up with what days I am ovulating so have had unprotected sex fairly often in the hope that I get pregnant. I have taken a couple of pregnancy tests last week but they showed up negative. I have been trying for over a year now and I am starting to think that maybe there is something wrong, I am not stressed though and nothing has changed in my diet or anything. Do you think that my periods are just becoming irregular?
Any help or info would be greatly received!

Thanks :)

Hi thanks for your response. I'm not sure when it would have been due but my periods have never been this late. I am having like twinges in my stomach but not really low kind of like in the sides it's hard to explain. My breasts are not sore but possibly feel a little bit harder. I don't know what to think. It's strange. X
