thank u for the encouraging thoughts! i feel much better reading the fact that somebody else had brown blood and is still pregnant! i didn't gush brown blood today however, i did have a teeny bit on my toilet tissue. i'm just scared cuz my #'s are so low and now with the cramping it's making me nervous. i'm not cramping like i do with my period tho it's very mild. i told my db that i'm scared that it might be a miscarriage and he was like IT'S NOT IT'S NOT IT'S NOT!!! so obviesly he will be crushed if it comes back with a negative result tomorrow...+++++++crossing my fingers..+++++.........

I started spotting brown (gush of brown blood) at 9 weeks with this pregnancy and everything is going well. If you are spotting brown and not is a lot of pain it does not mean misscarriage.

Good luck

thank u. i'm hoping everything will be fine. i called the dr and they didn't have a solid answer for me either. i told her i was crampy and spotting brown and she said it could be an early miscarriage but we won't know until later. i have to get my blood taken tomorrow and we'll find out if the #'s are looking good or not.

A missed miscarriage is when you miscarry but your body doesn't get the message.  I was on progesterone, so although my baby's heart beat stopped at 8 wks, I didn't actually expel anything. If I had quit taking the progesterone, I probably would have miscarried but I opted for a d&c which seemed less traumatic.
If you are miscarrying this early (and I hope you're not), it's considered a "chemical pregnancy" and once you stop the progesterone (if you're taking it) you'll probably just get your period.
But remember, some people do spot and cramp when they are pregnant.  You should call your dr.
Good luck.

Some people bleed even though they are pregnant. For me, it meant a missed miscarriage and I had to do a d&c. I will keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer that it's not the case for you.
