estrogen level over 2000

My estrogen level is over 2000.  I am on day 11 of my Gonal F shot and will take at least one more shot tomorrow on day 12.  My IUi will probably be on Wednesday.  Does this estrogen level seem really high to anyone?  For those of you who have gotten hyperstimulated, what was your level close to the time of the trigger shot or IUI?  I have to go in again tomorrow for u/s and b/w.

Thanks for your response!  I am glad yout hink my levels sound good.  I wanted to share that I am trying to get pregnant with multiples because I have a disorder which I want to prevent and each embryo will have a 50% chance of getting the disorder.  I tried to prevent it doing IVF.PGD butI never got pregnant that way.  A few years ago I got pregnant with five and I got CVSs done and had to reduce to one since even if they were all healthy due to my having a small uterus, so I have a healthy 23 month old son now and am trying again and unfortunately I have to go through the whole process again once I get pregnant.  It would have been so much easier if I got pregnant with IVF>PGD, where they test the embryos for the disorder before transfer.  It was also so expensive.  So, I am hoping to get pregnant with multiples like the last time.  I hope I did not offend anyone by writing all of this.  I have an appt again tomorrow so I will keep you up to date.

That sounds weird to me since I remember having an estrogen of 7000 in one of my IVF cycles, but I guess it just depends on each situation.  I had to have PGD done so they needed my eggs to be as big as possible and a lot of eggs were necessary.  I think it is different with IUI since the eggs stay inside and with retrieval most are taken out.  I don't really understand it.  I know they won't cancel my cycle so I'm not worried about that, but I was just concerned about hyperstimulation.  Thanks for your response and good luck with your cycle!

My Re says that if my estrogen reaches near 2000 than my cycle will be canceled. Becuase hyperstimulation is likely at 2000. I am on day 10 of stimulation drigs bravelle and menopur for IVF. I go in for retrieval on Wednesday. My estrogen today was 893.

Wow that sounds enormous to me!!  Congratulations...

P.S.  My first IUI, estrogen was only 204, my second time it was well over 600 by the time we did the iui, and i thought that was good, but your numbers sound GREAT!!

They may cut back your meds to slow things down, i would think, or else the risk of multiples will be greater, and then at some point they usually counsel you on how you feel about "selective reduction" if it ever had to come down to that.  That would be very tough...

I am going to ask for Gonal F!!  hehe
