Adenomyosis??

Hi
I am a 26 yr old female who recently had a "missed miscarriage"

About a week after my miscarriage my OB/GYN sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound. I was given the report from the ultrasound tech but am having difficulty understanding it...

The part that is concerning me reads

"Heterogeneous inhomogeneous ultrasound texture of myometrium and small subendometrial and myometrial cysts, all in keeping with changes of adenomyosis"

I have been researching adeno and I do not have any of the symptoms of this condition and am VERY concerned as to how my chances of having children will be affected if I do in-fact have this disease.

Thank you

I think most of us on here are guilty of doing that ;-) I've scared myself half to death sometimes by googling things I probably shouldn't have...so I can definitely relate! Best of luck to you! Hopefully you'll get pregnant again soon and have a normal, uneventful pregnancy next time!

Thanks for your response. I don't have a follow-up with my ob/gyn...during the visit he told me to wait til my cycle returns to normal then try again and that everything seemed fine to him...I suppose I should just listen to his advice but I get onto the internet and search things out and it starts to make me panic!

I'm so sorry to hear of your missed miscarriage (I've had one of those, too). Unfortunately, I don't have any info on the condition you mentioned, and the ultrasound findings are way above my head. Do you have a follow-up with your doctor soon so he/she can help you understand what all of this means?
