My LMP was December 5th and my doctor told me everything was fine but I knew it had to be something else. I changed my eating habits for just one week and I just got my period monday. If it's been 79 days since your last period and you are sexually active then taking a pregnancy test is a wise step to determine is that's why your period hasn't arrived yet.
79 days is quite a long time to not have a period, however, if your doctor checked you and everything seemed normal then it could well be nothing. Sometimes we skip cycles (or more) for not reason. Other reasons that contribute to missing cycles are hormonal imbalance, sudden weight change, diet change, illness, depression, PCOS.
Take a test it would be positive 79 days after your last period good luck, let me know how you get on
