Cervix is now Tight

I am not quite sure where to post this, but am hoping someone may be able to help me out.  I had a D&C in mid-July and no AF since.  I have taken Provera for a week to see if AF comes, but so far no dice . If she doesn't show up by next week, I will have a sono to see if my cervix is too tight post-D&C to allow AF to occur.

Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know someone to whom it has occurred?  I am getting nervous that I will now have fertility issues and that was my one shot to parenthood.

Thanks!

I was 7 1/2 weeks when I found out and the baby stopped growing at 4 1/2 weeks.  I think that all the HCG should be gone.  I do have a couple days to go before I should get AF.  I stopped taking the Provera a couple days ago and if it takes a while, I coulld get it as late as Thurs.  It's been so long and it seems as if most people would have gotten AF by now post-D&C I am getting a bit concerned.

Never thought I'd feel this crazy about getting preg!!!

Doesn't it make a difference how far along you were when you had your D&C? I ask because I think the level of HCG would take longer to get out of your system if you were further along.  Don't know but just wondering.  If you have HCG then your body may not recognize you're no longer preggo and it may take longer for to ovulate???

How long did your doc say it should normally take for AF to come after taking the Provera?

That is a good question.  I would think that AF wouldn't come if it was shut tight.  As for me. I haven't gotten AF yet and it has been 9 1/2 weeks.  I had cramping and PMS (sore BBs and bloating) 4 weeks after my D&C.  It went away about the same time AF would have left, but no AF just the PMS.  Nothing since then.

I'm not bloated although I feel a little "watery" today.  Not sure if it is b/c I just got off the Provera and my body is tryting to get AF again?

Sorry about your problems.  I haven't had this happen but I THOUGHT I did.  My doc told me my cervix was practically shut from scar tissue when she did my pap.  I asked if that would keep me from getting preggo and she said no, not as long as I get AF each month.  And I do get AF each month so that's not my problem because if I bleed each month then sperm should be able to also get through.  Don't quite understand how if it's practically shut.

But I would think that if you were having a backflow of AF then you may get bloated or something.  Are you bloated?
