ivf and natural delivery

hi, i am 38 weeks 3 days pregnant, i have conceived through ivf since my husband's sperm was low, my first ivf was successful, my pregnancy was with no problems only last weeks my blood pressure was a bit high, i took methyldopa and my pressure is under control, but i would like to have a natural delivery i prefer it better than c-section my doc said to do it c-section. and my question is should i go for c-section since it is ivf pregnancy?
did anyone had natural delivery after ivf, does it means ivf babies should be born through c-section?
thank you in advance

i forgot to tell this is my first birth.

I delivered naturally with my first baby and she was an IVF baby. My blood pressure got high when I went to deliver her and she had to be suctioned out but I didn't have to have a C-section. Maybe he is worried about your blood pressure but still as AnnieBrooke said check with him/her to see why they recommend a C-section. Don't have it done if its just because.

I am now pregnant with twins through IVF and its a probable C-section due to twins and my body build ( i am very short and petite) but even given that my OB has said if they are aligned properly I can try naturally. I don't like the thought of C-sections either and the recovery is so much slower.

Good luck and always ask questions if you are unsure.

How you got pregnant (IVF, natural, IUI, back seat of a car) has nothing to do with what kind of birth is recommended by your doctor.  IVF babies are babies.  They are delivered naturally all the time, and a whole lot of naturally conceived babies are delivered by C-section.  If your doctor is recommending a C, ask him why, and assess his reasons carefully.  He's the trained medical person after all.  Don't let a doctor blindly recommend a C-section "just because" (this is the same advice a woman who conceived naturally should follow).  But if there are valid medical reasons for a C-section, a woman should pay attention to them.
