Thank you so much. This gives me enough information that I do not have to ask her to explain to me before she is ready! This forum is SO informative!
Thank you!
She will more than likey have to wait about 3 months b/c they like to the methotrexat completely out of your system before trying again. My tube was removed because it was the second ectopic in the same tube and it had started to rupture. They can do a procedure to check for tubal damage.
How do they determine whether the tube needs to be removed? Does she really have to wait 3 months before she tries again?
IUI 2 days in a row. She started clomid, but switched over to follistim in the middle of cycle as RE recommended. She had IUI on 2 days. !st hcg level was 41 and I knew that was kind of low. But, then it doubled every 2 days and she had her 1st u/s this morning to find out how many she was having and instead found out it was eptopic.
lisa_ boss is right. I had 2 ectopics and lost my tube after the second. Did she go the IUI or IVF route to get pregnant.
Will she have to have the tube removed?
Sorry to know abt ectopic pregnancy of your co-worker.Ectopic pregnancy is nothing but the fetus grows in the fallopian tube instead of uterus. She has to take the methoxrate injection and wait for one week to see if the hcg level comes down.if not she has to take another shot .And she shld try pregnancy after 3 months.Hopefully everything good shld happen to her.
