pregnancy ovet 40

So I Am 42 WILL Be 43 IN May 2015. Is it safe to get pregnant now for myself smh especially my baby? Also is it harder to get pregnant?

Thanks I have a 23 yr old son now met man of my dreams and we want a baby but scared of not being able to get pregnant or baby having issues...uses I'll put it in God's hands. ..thanks

Hi there.  I believe statistically things change at 40.  Eggs are older so the rate of issues with the baby go up significantly.  and the ability to get pregnant and sustain the pregnancy to term goes down significantly.  The odds are against a healthy pregnancy.  However, that doesn't mean it can't happen.  If I were 42 and still longed for a baby, I would try knowing that it may not happen.  In fact, in all honesty, I'd consider working with a fertility doctor for guidance and getting pregnant quickly
