Bunch of symptoms and BFN???? Why???

I had my 3rd natural IUI 5-24-11. I've been bloated for at least a week, a LOT more than normal. My bbs are slightly sore, which I don't really rely on, that happens usually 2 wks before AF. Not this time though. I've had VERY frequent bathroom visits and a couple of days ago I started spotting. It was brown (and only when I wiped, sorry if it's TMI). I know it's not AF, b/c I get AF on time or 1, max 2 days late, never early and never brown, and it always starts bright red. I took a HPT this morning (just 1 day before AF should arrive if i'm not pregnant), and it's BFN :(((  Why is that? Could it be possible that my HCG level is just that low that a HPT would not detect the pregnancy? I was really hoping all these symptoms are a sign that I'm pregnant. Any ideas?

I'm so sorry you got a BFN:( Let's hope for good news with this next cycle!!
Thanks for the encouragement :) It is tough and I'm gonna keep you in my prayers. I wonder why we have symptoms and then nothing.
I got my blood test results back yesterday. The nurse said everything came back fine and my pregnancy test is negative. I'm sure she was just doing her job,and probably she talks to a bunch of patients during the day but she seemed so cold to me. She also said my symptoms were from something else, not pregnancy. BUT, I know my body...anyways...lol I was just telling my hubby I don't know how all those women do it for years. It's gotta be really hard. You know, I'm still nauseated. Not sure why. I didn't sleep much last night, b/c of it. It kept fading in and out and every time it came back, woke me up. Not sure what's going on. Anyways. I hope you're doing well. let me know how things are going!!

God, I'm so, so sorry...I also got a BFN this morning (AF is due tomorrow or after tomorrow) but I'm feeling pms.....once a friend told me that God gives hard times to people who can handle them, so we're not as weak as we think...it's so tough, but hang in there and don't give up...you're very lucky to have a supportive husband .... I also had symptoms: nausea, dizziness, lower back ache, breast tenderness, and all and ...well....I really can't  guess but that bfn isn't good news.....BUT we've got to be strong....and patient...there are people who have waited years and years to finally get their BFPs......so good luck and I'll keep you posted! :)

Thanks for the tip and the info. I'll def. check it out. My symptoms have subsided, and my brown spotting turned into AF this morning, right on time, like clock work. I'm pretty bummed, and confused. I had a blood test done on the 7th, but haven't gotten the results yet. I will tomorrow, but I have a feeling it's BFN. I still have some nausea and the bloating. Someone said I could've had a chemical pregnancy. I had the symptoms for about a week, and then AF sayd hello. I'm cramping pretty bad too, it's somewhat worse than what I'm used to, so all in all I had a pretty crappy day. My husband is the best though. He made me laugh today. He's really good at cheering me up. He's my rock. Anyways, we're gonna get ready for round 4. Basically I'll have to pull myself together mentally and spiritually for another chance at our bondle of joy. I really felt like I didn't want to go through another IUI, but I'm not giving up.
Thanks again & best wishes to you and hope you get a BFP!! Keep me posted :)

Of course you could(still be pregnant)! You should read this:

http://www.*********.com/pregnancy-test-sensitivity-comparison.html

Your HCG levels may not still be high enough:  84% of women implant 8 to 10 days after ovulation. That would mean that you could(for example) have implanted on the 31st of May or the 2nd of June. After implantation it takes at least 2 days for the embryo to produce HCG. So you would ONLY start to produce your HCG by the 2th or 4th of June right?

Now, these are the levels of HCG pregnant women produce by week:

HCG Levels during Pregnancy:

Days Past Ovulation

Normal HCG Levels:        MIU/ML

7 Days :           5-50 (avg. 14)

14 Days    :       5-50 (avg. 21)

21 Days    :       5-50 (avg. 42)

In this case you'd be (today is June 8th) 16 days after ovulation meaning that the average production of HCG could be 42 IU of HCG. It could still be less(that's why the level shown goes from 5-50 cause it could be in that range), no pregnancy is the same. Most HPT's don't even detect HCG under 50 IU.That's the point. You could very well be pregnant. I also read somewhere else that the majority of HPTs taken before the first day of your missed period are wrong simply because you're testing with your urine and tests are not as accurate as you'd think in that they measure higher HCG levels. Hope this helped in any way. Keep me posted and SSBD*******!!!!

I forgot to mention, that I've been having this nausea-kinda-feeling, but it never develops. Every now and then it feels like I'm gonna be really nauseated and even vomit, but then it goes away. Can I still be pregnant, despite of the BFN?
