I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost our son at 20 weeks. I had a D&E under general anesthesia. It was painless and I was completely asleep. It seem ridiculous that they won't do one for you.
I too am very sorry for your loss. Did the heartbeat stop at 16 weeks, or did it stop before then but was not discovered until 16 weeks? In other words, did the fetus measure 16 weeks or smaller? Just wondering why they say a D&C is not an option. I would think it would be...
I am sorry for the loss. I am unsure why they cannot do a D&E. I had a loss at 14 weeks and that's what I had. Good luck. Your wife is lucky to have you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I was in a similar situation with my son. He was 28 1/2 weeks and had no heartbeat. I'm not sure what MISO is, but I know for myself they kept putting tablets in my cervix to start contractions. It took me about 3 days of this before I actually delivered. I opted for an epidural because of the pain and was released as soon as I was able to walk. I hope this helps, my thoughts and prayers go out to both you and your wife.
