Has anyone ever had surgery for a septate uterus? How was it? How soon after could you start trying again?

did you end up having surgery? i miscarried in march and finally was diagnosed with complete septated uterus. they said it will be about a years wait for a specialist then several more months for surgery.

Thanks for the info. I am having hysteroscopy to check for this since I had 2 miscarriages in a row, no children yet. We had just started trying. I may be getting myself upset too soon but want to be prepared if this does apply to me. MD said I am at higher risk d/t a minor congenital kidney anomaly. Did the person you know have any known kidney abnormalities? The MD seems to think septate or maybe hormone imbalance- most likely progesterone d/t my long cycles. I am just ready to start trying again as soon as I can so wanted info. on how long the wait is. It seems it depends on the degree of the septum, how surgery goes, etc. Thanks again.

Hi, I know someone who had surgery to correct her septate uterus last January. She was told to wait 3 months to try for a baby.  She got pregnant the first month she tried, and just had the baby. I hope this is helpful. Good luck :o)
