does anyone else have any input? i go back to the dr about my shoulder tomorrow. i see a regular ob/gyn and i don't think they will get back to me before my appt.
I had them all prior to getting pregnant. The last one was in sept & conceived in Dec so I don't think it's the cortizone..but will ask.
i had read that corticoid steroids (what they use for injections) are class D drugs--meaning unsafe during pregnancy, and I had also read before that steroids can stay in your body for a year, but i don't know if that means an injection into a joint are bad (since steroids can be given other routes for other things).
I can't believe you asked this question.... I have tendonitis in my left shoulder & right elbow. This past year have had a total of four injections. I then started IVF in Nov/Dec got pregnant but M/C whn I see Dr monday I am going to ask him if these shots had anything to do with M/C. I never mentioned the shots to him.
I say go ahead and get the injection. No sense in being miserable esp if this cycle you do not get pregnant. Most likely it will be a cortisone inj which would be just fine regardless.
