Ivf and endo

Hi Everyone - I am new to this. I just got diagnosed with stage 4 severe endo. (not sure if thats any different from stage 4). I am going for a shot of depo lupron on friday and i am so scared. I have read horrible things. I am having surgery on Feb 27th and then will start IVF. I guess I just want to hear from people with similar circumstances who have been successful. I spend most of my day consumed by this. I just really need support from people who understand. thanks :)

Thanks! It is very encouraging to hear about positive results. I feel like a hot mess right now on this rollercoster! But I know it all makes you stronger. I hope to never have to look at another BFN.

Hello! so sorry to hear about your diagnosis! To give you some hope:: About a year ago i got my diagnosis, i had no symptoms whatsoever of endo, then was told after my lap that i had one of the worst cases the dr had ever seen! ha not something you ever want to hear! anyhow i had most of my left ovary removed during that surgery due to an endometrioma and they couldn't even "clean up " any of the rest of the endo, since it was "everywhere!"    So now i only have one functioning ovary... during the recovery period for the lap, i had my dh do a semen analysis just in case.. and we found out we had severe male factor TOO! anyways, i have one working ovary, severe male factor, mild PCOS and then LUFS (where my follicles don't rutupre and release the egg most of the time)... we were told IVF would be our only option by my dh's urologist and my dr wanted to give IUI a few trys.. we have since gotten preg twice with IUI on injectables and femara (which is a good drug for endo patients-simlilar to lupron, but also simliar to clomid) So its defintely possible to get pregnant with severe endo, i've heard lots of success stories! sounds like your in good hands and have a good plan in place! GOOD LUCK and let us know if we can help you in any way throughout this journey! : )

Hi there

Welcome to the forum! I only got diagnosed with chronic endo 3 months ago and will be doing IVF in a few weeks. One of the girls from here just got her BFP through IVF only a few weeks ago - there is hope. Its just a little trickier for us. I am very glad for you youre having the surgery as that will improve your chances.

Youre doing all the right things and i hope a BFP is not too long away.
