trying to conceive fertility

I'm 7 weeks post IVF transfer.  Having major complications.  HCG raised from 295 to 1,179 to 3439 and then dropped to 395.  Raised back to 722 and now 922, happening every two days.  Dr. can't determine location of pregnancy.  Thinks maybe ectopic and in uterus.  three ultrasounds one at just 6 weeks and then two during 7th week.  They want to biopsy the uterus and then test blood then give M. shot if doesn't stop pregnancy.  I want to have this all resolve itself and of course I'm hoping for a miracle that one is there but just can't be seen yet.  Dr.s say there is no viable preg., no chance.  Am I risking it to ask to wait things out being followed for another week or two.  thoughts please

I had a heterotopic pregnancy, one in the uterus and one in the fallopian tube.  Had to have an uterus biopsy Fri. and then methotrexate on Sat. -HCG continuing to rise and lots of pain starting on Sunday evening and then surgery on Tuesday to remove the fallopian tube pregnancy- whole right tube was removed-had bleed into the abdomen.  Horrible experience, now recovering and still hoping to conceive in the future.

Quite the week.  HCG went up to 1376 in 24 hours from 922 on Thursday.  Dr's were unsure the location didn't do another ultrasound, said progesterone went to .4 so they advised a I have biopsy of my uterus, check for fetal tissue and then hcg test in the morning and Methotrexe shot if still going up.  horrible experience and we're devastated.  Was holding hope for a viable preg.  but the doctors said the risk of my life was to great and the procedures were the right thing to do.  Just awful.

i had one embryo  transfer on june,25. july,7 my first blood test showed 3. two days after, i got my period that lasted for about 6 days. i travelled abroad while still having the period. a day after it stopped, i started bleeding, but light red blood. my dr. advised me to do the blod test, but being abroad and not knowing any good dr, i just buht 3 pregnanc tests. all of them showed a positive result. on the  following day, i went back home, gig beta hcg, it was 275. 36 hours after it went to 267. now, i am waiting for Sunday to do another test. ny dr says that there is a possiility of the ectopic, although i pray to God that it will go away alone. in addition, i was recommended tea that cleans the ovaries from inside, so we will see. apart from the bleeding, i havent had any strong pain or other indications of the ectopic, so im hopeful that everything will settle down by itself.
good luck to all

If your pregnancy is ectopic, yes, it is a risk.  If bleeding should happen (from a ruptured tube or for another reason) you have to get to the hospital pronto, it can be life threatening.  I am sorry that they can't see an embryo in the uterus, by now (given that you had IVF and know exactly when transfer was) they should see it.  Do everything you can to get the doctor to be entirely certain nothing is in the uterus, and then I would seriously consider the methotrexate, as ectopics are nothing to fool around with.  Good luck.
