Hi Roberta,
I am 32 yrs old and was told yesterday that I have low estrogen levels as well. The doctor said he would like to start me on Clomid. My CM is healthy, I get my period monthly and on time, and they say I have ovulated. I'm really worried that having low estrogen will prevent me from getting pregnant. If you learn of any good chats to follow or have heard advice, please share and I will do the same! Thank you
I just read your post now. Quite a few years later I'm going though the exact thing same age and all Just following up with your experience?
i am not to worried about my age to much any more. I have spoken to my doctor and he assured me that any choice is the right choice for me because the right time is different for everyone. This past Mon I went to have a hystosalpingogram and boy oh boy I don't want to go through that again. I was told I was going to feel cramping in which i did but then I felt major pain when the doctor inflated the ballon on the end of the cather. I am just hoping when i need to go for the IUI there is not ballons that need to be inflated because i read that some women feel cramping on that also. Has any one gone through an IUI.
don't worry I'm 38 and i TTc almost 2 years ,one miscariage ,I give up for a while but againe I start acupuncture really help me emotionally.
I was 18 when I had my first child. I was 25 when I had my second. I am 35 now and have been trying to conceive my third child for 2 years now. You can say I have had child at different stages in my life. And let me say, things were much easier for me the older I got. Now that I am 35 I have more knowledge, more experience, and more PATIENCE, which is something any mother will agree you need with children. So put to rest all the doubts you have about your age. Many women are having babies at a later age. I was able to appreciate and enjoy my children the older I got. What counts is you recognized you wer not ready and did things the right way. Don't let anyone discourage you. I will say though if you really want to have a baby, tell your RE you want to be aggressive in your journey to concieve. The older we get the harder it is.
Good Luck, and pray about your doubts.
I have been doing a lot of research about my situation (36 yrs, just conceived, 10 weeks pregnant with an ovarian cyst) and I have come across numerous stories about fertility being enhanced and successful pregnancy with the use of acupuncture.
Make sure you research a Dr. who specializes in working with women to enhance their fertility. There is a dr. on here in Piedmont, california named Leslie Oldershaw who works in this fashion. She may have some leads or suggestions of someone in your area or advice on where to begin.
thank you for the kind words. I will be 36 at the end of this month. i have fought with the idea in the past about having children. It feels like the right time is right now. But now i have been trying the for a year and nothing happend. I am so anioxious to meet with this dr on the 17th. I just want to get pregnant and look forward to carry full term. I was told that if the procedure is iui that there is a good chance for multiple babies. it is my generation to have twins and my cousins and sister has not had twins. every other generation has not fail in the twins department. But we will see what happends.
Good Luck and thank you
We're the same age. I just turned 36 this month. I defnitely don't feel like I'm too old to be a mom & I wouldn't listen to anyone who said otherwise !!! Only you & dh know what's best for you !!! Good luck & Take care ! :-)
i am not sure if this dr is a RE. My GYN dr referred me to discuss my options that me insurance will cover and what would be best for me at this time. I see this infertility dr on the 17th of this month. i have loads of questions to ask. i usually do when i see a new dr.

Hi Christina,
Thanks and I will do the same for you. I am also a late bloomer :)
BTW, is your dr an RE? If not, better consult an RE now. Otherwise, ignore :)

i am very serious in starting a family, that is why i waited so long to make my choice. I had to get my schooling out of the way and the party out of me at the age of 31 is when i waited to married and it is time. I think you can call me a late bloomer :)).My hubby had all his testing done and i have tried the clomid and had a bad reaction. it was suggested to do the iui procedure. i am sure the dr is going to bring up all options and the best option for us.
You will be in my prayers. Best of Luck too you towards a happy and healthy future family.

I am 40 and have been TTC'ing for 5 years now.
Had 2 pregnancies and miscarriages.
Still trying!
Your age is still before the cliff (at 40) when statistically, conception rates dip. So if you are serious, then keep at it while you are young(er). :)
thank you for the encouragement........ we have to go and talk to the infertility dr on the 17th. i will admit i was not wanting to have any children but i thought about it and the feeling of wanting a child jumped at me. i have 3 nieces that live with me and i think that might have scared me from wanting any children because of all there problem that they have encountered. But i know i wouldn't put my child through what they have been through. thank you again and i wish you all the best with the future family.
do you mind if i add you to my friends list and i would like you to keep me updated.
