I don't think I'm getting it....

Do trigger points make you feel like you have a deep itch and pressing one of them feels like you're scratching the itch but the itch comes right back right when you let off?

I don't think I understand Fibromyalgia...I first was dx'd with Myofascial Pain syndrome  about 3 or 4 yrs. ago and now I just got this diagnosis. I do have osteophytes (MRI states severe stenosis, and mild here and there in my spine) plus a broad bulge with a 7mm annular tear.  What is causing the itch in so many of my muscles and under my feet?  anyone plz?

I guess I literally need someone to spell it out for me.

Thanks Phtartist :)

Oh wow, I have both inflammation (elevated esr and crp) and a cluster of trigger points in my calf.  So it could be that I have two things causing my nerves to be aggravated (stenosis and fibro)...is that correct?

TRP's or Trigger points are small thumb size lumps kind of like knots in the muscle and or myofascia.
What you have sounds like a nerve ending acting up. This can happen when inflammation or TRP's affect a nerve area and cause inflammation in it. Sharp pain, itch and burning are common flair up symptoms.
