Help with issues

Hi
I am new to this site, but my doctor said in I probably have fibromyalgia about a year ago.  I had an MRI done today and it came back negative.  My dr. had me have the MRI because of increasing fatigue, tingling body parts, headaches, major memory problems!  Now I have to go to a neurologist.  I just feel that I will have a bunch of tests and they will say they don't know or label me with fibromyalgia, but do they take it as a serious condition?  I'm glad they didn't find anything majorly wrong in my brain, I just want to feel better.  Does anyone else understand how I feel?

I am also on the cymbalta, just switched from klonopin to valium, was on xanax before that. I'm taking morphine 30 mg cr with percocet for breakthrough pain. I've tried the lyrica, side effects too much for me, can't really tell if the cymbalta is working or not. Seems that even with the morphine, I'm still in a lot of pain 24/7. I too have been getting worse over the past year or so. I posted a question about whether fibro is progressive or not and got a lot of great feedback, you might want to check it out. "Is Fibromyalgia Progressive" was the title.

It's good that you have a good doc, It helps when they really want to help you rather than look at you like your crazy LOL. It has taken me some time but think I've found the right doc. Does the Cymbalta help you at all?

I just had an MRI as well and they found two areas of abnormality on mine but they say nothing to worry about. Neuro just had me do MRA to check the blood vessels in my brain and neck, should have results Mon.

I hope you are finding the help and support you need. We all go through so much with this disorder and very few understand just how debilitating it can be. Let me know if you ever need an ear or a shoulder. :-)

Thanks for answering with assuring words.  I am on Cymbalta and clonazepam now.  But for me the fatigue and memory issues have gotten so much worse in the last 6 months.  I do have a good doc, I have been seeing her for 20 years now.  So what meds are you on?

I can definitely relate to how you feel and I would guess that most here do as well. I too have the same symptoms and also had every test imaginable and all so far most are negative. I think it's good that your doc is trying to rule out anything and everything. I sometimes get frustrated with all the tests and Dr. appt's etc... I just have to remember that at least they are trying and every test rules something else out.

Are you on any meds for your fibro? I have tried many, unfortunately few have worked for me. I am still learning about the disorder and have received so much help and info here. There are many very helpful and comforting individuals on the board who I'm sure will have a lot to offer you. Hang in there and I hope you feel better. Wish I could say more to help, just wanted you to know that you are not alone :-)
