Symptoms and pain for Fibromyalgia

My Physician beleives that i have FM and RA he took alot of tests thinking i might have cancer because of all the pain i have had for the last 6 months. every test he took it came back normal. I thought when u have FM u would have pain on both sides of the body for instance..my right leg is very painful espically my thigh area but my left thigh dosent hurt at all but the lower part of the right leg is very painful both arms hurt spine hurts middle of my back is very painful my fingers on my left hand some fingers are stiff right hand no stiffness but i do have alot of pain in my hand i thought the pain had to be consistent on both sides of the body ...and my blood pressure keeps going higher and higher ...it started with 129/60 now its 142/80...it mainly hits me at night and in the morning i dont wanna get out of bed some days and when i notice if im working and i over work myself the next 3 days are like im living in HELL i cant do anything ...my Physican order me a prescription of G abapentin i have to admit since taking this medicine most of the pain has gone away but i still feel pain in my right thigh everyday and my arms and some in my back but i can still do most of my MAID work lol...

I  hope that all who have FMS will take advantage of these sites, also for the family, friends, boss, caretakers of the FMS sufferers.    Just found one for beginners of FMS;   www.jonniewright.com      look for fibromyalgia for beginners started a few hours ago 06/22/2008.
Also good list of symptoms etc. at ; www.web.com/fibromyalgia/default.htm    I hope you find these alright.  If not just throw some words in the address box pretaining to what you want to find like( Fibromyalgia symptoms) or  ( video blogs of FMS sufferers). You know it is bad enough to be looked at like your nuts or like you are a hypocondriac,but to have your friends, boss or family not believe or understand what your problem is, just breaks our hearts.  So if anyone learns how to explain the illness that they have to another person is really a blessing (especially if they are then understood and believed) I cussed out atleast 2 doctors in the last 8 years that ignored me or made fun or me, and that was embarrasing because I shouldn't be cussing and I shouldn't be treated badly especially when I am paying to be seen..

i was checked for lyme disease he said everytest came back normal he did tell me that my thyroid is enlarged but when they did a ultrasound it came back normal they did blood work that came back normal ...

If you read on fibro it says to diagnose it  pain must be present on both sides of the body, above and below the waist present for I think 3 months or 6 months.  I forget the exact time frame.  There is other criteria as well.  Have you been checked for lyme disease as it causes similar symptoms and is hard to diagnose.  Fibromyalgia-symptoms. org has good info in FMS.
