fibromyalgia or RA

I have had a low white blood cell count for years. Just in the last year I found a doctor that was willing to find out why. She did all kinds of tests on me, but they didn't find anything. I also suffer from joint pain and discomfort all over my body. At first she said I had RA, which would explain my joint pain and low white blood cell count, but now she says I have Fibromyalgia because the tests for RA came back negative and my hands don't look like RA hands. I tried to tell her from the research I've done I can have sero-negative RA which would mean that I would be less likely to have the nodules she is looking for but doctor's know best apparently. So I guess my question is, can it be fibromyalgia or does it sound like sero negative RA?

She did blood tests for everything so I think she ruled Lupus out but I don't remember if she said or not.

RA and fibromyalgia can often go together.  Have they ruled out Lupus as well?  A 2nd opinion does sound appropriate.

Hmmm. Get a second opinion. Also, if you have a teaching hospital nearby, that would be helpful. The treatment for RA and Fibro can be similar, so take the recommended NSAIDs. Both conditions cause inflammation. Then get the second opinion. Blessings!
