Yes I have had this condition for as long as I can remember.....but have found that with meds, modifying my diet I can use diet to help prevent flare ups....the natural route will not help if there is damage there already, the meds can ......so take what the Drs gave and follow the instructions, once u have it calmed down, u can try diet and natural sources to keep it at bay.
Do u know if u have a hiatal hernia or some other cause of the reflux?
Did you ever experience this and are you cured from it? Yesterday had some cereal and almond milk and was in so much pain I don't know if it was heartburn or something else I was scared was going to go to the Er..I want to go the natural route but afraid to damage the esophagus.. I just want to be healthy again
Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.
It can depend on how long u have had the symptoms as to how long it may take for ur symptoms to calm down.
Has ur Dr. instructed u to modify ur diet and lifestyle to aid the meds?
Stress can make u feel worse....so try to relax and give the meds time and avoid foods and other triggers......here is a link to the Health pages for info on which foods to avoid -
