Almost Seven Months of Suffering - HELP!

Not sure what is exactly wrong with me, but thought I'd post to see if anyone has suggestions.  About seven months ago, I woke up in the morning feeling nauseous.  Prior to that I never really had much in the way of digestive issues (minus some IBS symptoms when eating greasy or heavy restaurant foods).  Basically, ever since that day seven months ago, I feel a gurgling, bubbly feeling in my stomach that almost feels like a purring sound (sometimes audible, sometimes not).  Nausea usually accompanies this feeling.  Mornings are often bad, and afternoons are as well, with some relief coming at night after dinner. I typically feel better while eating.  I sometimes have a strange feeling of both an empty stomach and a bloated stomach at the same time (if that makes any sense).

Doctors and tests - I've been to several doctors and had the following tests:
Endoscopy - Clear
Ultrasound on stomach and abdomen - Clear
Cat-Scan - Clear
MRCP - Clear
What they've ruled out per blood and stool tests - Girardia, HyPlori, Celiac disease, Gall Bladder (gall stones, blockage) and any other "Scary" things. Their conclusion?  Non-Ulcer Dyspepsia.

So I've been cleared of just about everything major. I've been told I could have reflux even though I rarely ever have the common feeling of heartburn or pain.  I've tried all the OTC drugs like prilosec, maalox, gaviscon, gas-x, Zantac, and even Dexilant.  These drugs have minimal effect on my symptoms. I've even tried Acupuncture for stress.  I've cut out Gluten and Dairy for a time, though admittedly I probably have not done this for a long enough period (about two weeks total).  This has really effected my quality of life and my productivity on the job.   Sometimes I think I will have to live with this forever which makes me very depressed.  Often all my waking hours are spent feeling this way.  Any and all ideas are welcome!

For short term use along with modifying ur diet and life style so u can stop the meds....the Prilosec is the original med for this issue....Nexium is made by the same pharmaceutical company.

Make sure u follow guidelines of foods to avoid...exercise and get plenty of rest and avoid stress....

Thanks for all the feedback.  I've been working out more (cardio) the last few weeks and it seems to be helping.  Haven't been back on the non-gluten diet yet, but probably will soon.  I was going to get Nexium, but my insurance won't cover so still taking Prilosec.  Is Nexium (or the generic equivalent) superior to Prilosec?

I suffered with really bad acid reflux for ten years I was taking pariet to reduce stomach acid for the last five years, this week I stopped eating sugar & wheat. Drinking water and milk only. I was up to 60mg's of pariet a day I changed my diet and in 48 hours I was off all my medicine and back to normal. There is just too much wheat and sugar on the supermaket shelves hiding in bread and cereals. I hope this helps let me know how you get on. ***@****

Generally Doctors prescribes Nexium.

I also had acid reflux at first stage. I was given Nexium Generic. It really helped me and after about 2 months of use, I was pretty much ok. I bought them from emedoutlet online.

I was going to say...stress is a big factor...try keeping a journal...of what u eat, how u feel and ne stress that is going on to see a pattern that may be forming.....

It is very possible that changing weather patterns may affect u as well...especially if it develops post nasal drip, this will add to reflux.

Try chewing gum during ur flares...(surgarless)

Thanks Selma,

Also, my symptoms seem to be bad for a week or two, and then I feel ok for a week.  It seems to cycle like that regardless of the meds I'm taking or food I'm eating.  The current doctor I'm seeing seems to feel stress is a major culprit and he sees this type of cycle with stress induced digestive issues.  Any thoughts on that?

Hi, not all with GERD will have the typical symptoms...there is a type of reflux that is referred to as Silent Reflux for just that reason. Here is a link to more info on this type -http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Gastroenterology/Symptoms-of-Laryngopharyngeal-Reflux-are/show/779?cid=236

Next, meds for these conditions may take time to see benefits....plus u should  modify  ur diet and lifestyle in addition to taking meds, so u can aid the meds in working and get off the meds......

Knowing the root of the issue will help u narrow this down...I have a hiatal hernia which can flare up from time to time, but I have gone yrs with no issues.

Try keeping a journal on what u eat and how u feel.
