Intermittent Vomiting

My daughter (11 months old) was diagnosed with Acid Reflux when she was 4 weeks old. Since then she has been taking Previcid and has been on the formula Nutramigen, which seemed to work for her. She has been eating Stage 2 baby food without problems since she was about 6 months old and we have not introduced anything new into her diet recently. On Tues. 10/7/08, she began vomiting in the evening and vomited for several hours. She did not have a fever or any other symptoms. We gave her pedialyte which she held down eventually and we slowly moved her back to her formula the next day. She was fine the entire week and then on Thurs. 10/16/08, she began vomiting again. She was unable to keep the Pedialyte down and continued to vomit for several hours. Again, no fever or any other symptoms.  She was completely fine for the next several days and then on Sun. 10/19/08 she vomited again for several hours.  She was fine on Monday and today (Tues 10/21/08) she vomited (very little) this afternoon, but enough to see that it was vomit and not just a little spit up.  She has been to the Dr. who said she must have had a touch of the bug. She had an ear infection a couple of weeks ago, but that cleared up with antibiotics (Bactrim), which she has taken before.  I am concerned that perhaps this is not a bug, as it seems to coincidental. The only other symptoms she shows is some discomfort in her belly prior to vomiting and sometimes while drinking her bottle.  Any advice?

The constipation is from acid blockers causing a poor absorption of nutrients.  Get the book, WHY STOMACH ACID IS GOOD FOR YOU.  She may have a bug in her gastrointestinal stomach, because acid blockers inhibit the protective mechanism in the stomach, leaving it open to different pathogens.  Reflux meds do not correct the problem but make it worse.  The problem is poor digestion...he needs MORE acid, NOT less!

Do you think maybe she is somehow gulping air down with the bottle?  Is the nipple enlarged by her suckling at an older age or a larger flow based on age?  That comes to thought as I read your post.  If the answer is no all around then I am at a loss, too unless some type of food is in there that she is allergic to that you aren't aware of ??
