How was the outcome of fundoplication surgery

Im having fundoplication along with gallbladder removal in a couple wks. Can anyone tell me what to expect after surgery? Would love to have some input. Im 43 female and have just about had to go out of work completey due to Gerd. Im a CNA and as you know that involves alot of lifting and bending.  I constantly have acid back up into my throat and mouth while working and the chest pain is massive. Been to the ER several times thinking I was having a heart attact only to find out after mutiple tests that it was gerd and an Xlarge hiatial hernia.  My throat stays sore and I stay horse all the time from the acid.  Had endoscope done and was supose to have bravo done but after scoping the doctor said he seen all he needed to see to know that I was an excellent candidate for surgery.   If I have to live with this much longer I will have to go out of work on disability because the only way I can function is to be in a recliner!!  If I eat too much I get severely nausated and throw up, so I dont eat and keep heartburn 24/7 even on 2 kapidex a day plus a liquid med to coat my esophagus cause my throat stays raw from acid.  I want to work and have a normal life but this is not normal. Anyone have any info you could share???

I'm 19 years old and i have had my gallbladder removed and I  also had a hiatal hernia and a nissen-fundo performed. I had the surgery when I was 16 and it was the worst decision ever. I've had so many complications I think I would be better off without it. I still have reflux and take several medicines. My stomach always hurts even when my diet is very limited. I'm lactose intolerant, I don't drink pop or eat anything deep fried or greasy and can hardly eat out at resturants. I have constant gas and pressure and my throat often feels like I can't breathe. Not to mention it's awful to be sick and want to throw up but you can't. That causes more stomach problems.

It's hard to remember how I felt directly after my surgery but I remember it was not good! The  whole year after my surgery I was very sick. I mostly layed around. I had to quit all my school sports and had no energy ever. My mom was constantly trying to give me ensure. I was super sick and had no appetite. I lost 20 lbs. It was very painful.
