The thing is u can regulate it with diet and modifying lifestyle...cut back on alcohol, smoking....things that generally are not good for us....and avoid the spicy foods greasy and acidic foods...once it is calm u can eat them in moderation with meds.,....that way u can enjoy having those foods and still feel good.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum,

What u may likely have us LPR also known as Silent reflux as heartburn is not always a symptom....

Stress and anxiety can affect all aspects of how we feel......

Here is a link to  symptoms of LPR - http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Gastroenterology/Symptoms-of-Laryngopharyngeal-Reflux-are/show/779?cid=236

U will also want to review foods that are safe with reflux and foods to avoid as well as some lifestyle tips.
