stomach pain gerd

13 year old son has been diagnosed with gerd.  recent relapse, morning pain is intolerable.  unable to get to school.  is taking morning and evening medication.  follows all the diet rules. bed inclined, doesn't lay down for 2 hours after eating, etc.

what can we do to ease the pain and get him to school in the morning.  i was told there is nothing that can be done for the pain.

taking cider vinegar...sounds strange but give it a shot.  He needs more acid, that's why his belly is hurting.

Has his doctor considered food allergies or a food causing this?  It is awful to see our kids in such pain ... what meds is he on?
