Migraines from ulcer

Hello, a few years ago I was diagnosed with a bleeding gastric ulcer. I take Lanzor every night. For the past few months I have been getting migraines and I am starting to think they are tied in with acid reflux. Is this possible? I have had two this week and it is taking me away from work which is not acceptable. Do I see a neurologist or the speciliast who did the gastroscopy? What can I do to stop the headaches? Help, please.

Thanks, both of you. I went to my GP who has tweaked the meds and added 1. Am now one 1 week leave to destress & calm down. If the headaches and reflux return, she will refer me to a neurologist.

There is a high possibility you are anemic.  Anemia can cause headaches/migraines.  So, I would say the headaches/migraines are secondary to the anemia.

I would notify the GI Specialist.  You probably should have labs drawn.

Well, you could certainly try a different class of drug, since your ulcer should have healed by now.  If I were you, I would want to find out what caused the ulcer and change that.

Find out if you have Celiac disease, which is a problem with a protein in wheat and other grains.  Celiac disease will definitely cause migraines!
