trouble with my acid reflux

I have been on many different types of acid reflux medcines. It seems that when my body gets use to the meds it stops working than they put me on new ones. Now for the pass year I get pain in chest it starts in my bottom jaw n works down into chest.
I had test on my heart n stress test n all turned out good. Doctors think it is muscle around heart  being
strained due to acid reflux.  Could that really happen
n can it b dangerous.

There are foods you should avoid....and you need to try and be more active ...I know it is difficult when you are fatigued but the more active you are the better for your overall health...just start walking a little bit at a time and add as  you feel you can.Spicy, greasy, acidic foods, carbonated bevs as well as caffeine and alcohol. Keep a journal of what foods are your triggers....

Are you on thyroid meds too?

Lifestyle changes would be things like exercise, stop smoking if you smoke, elevate the head of your bed, don't wear tight fitting clothes, do not lay down for 3 to 4 hrs after eating.....

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum,

You will have to talk with your Drs about the heart issues...

I was wondering you mentioned you have tried several meds, but you did not mention if you also modified your diet and lifestyle along with the meds...as meds alone can not help if you continue to eat, or drink items that will cause symptoms to flare.
