14 yrs of diarreha

For the past 14 years I have suffered from constant diarrhea (read as I have a solid movement once every 2-3 months and 3-4 day constipation once a month).  My movements are usually bile colored from bright green to yellow in color and is mostly muccous.  I've only been to one GI doctor and she was not very good.  I've had barium studies done on the lower and upper tracks, tested for d.ficile, and occult blood.  All studies were unremarkable or negative other than some diverticuli on the colon.   The lower study did have an area of "blurryness" in the transverse area but was passed off as residual stool in the reading (I contest this since my stools are already lliquid and the prep made them water after the first hour).   At any rate every movement is accompanied by severe pain and a lot of gas.  I have second of warning before a wave hits and seconds after the wave hits to find a facility.  I cannot hold back these waves for very long, the pain in holding them back is too excruciating.  In the end the doctor said it was IBS and recomended diet change which I have done over the past several years, trying different diets over the course of several months with no change.   I don't know what else to do at this point excepth hope that I can find a doc that will do some digging when I move next year.  Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

It could be IBS or IBD( inflammatory bowel disease) the symptoms are very similar to both but usually with IBD there weight lost if you are unsure and think something else is going on the i would get a second opinion from another GI.

I also wanted to add, I do not loose or fluctuate in weight.  Im 5'11" and weight around 210-215lbs... ok so I fluctuate by 5 lbs in any given month.  Im and insomniac, cant sleep unless im dead tired and pass out, usually around 4am and Im up between 9-10am, earlier if my phone rings for a service call.
