5 yr old with sporadic vomiting

My 5 yr old daughter woke up Mon morning at 5:15 with vomiting.  She was fine afterwards - ran no fever, energetic, and with appetite.  She was fine til another vomiting episode occurred at 11 a.m. at which time I gave her Zofran and then she ate lunch.  She had no more symptoms the rest of Monday or during the overnight hours.  However, on Tues, she awakened with vomiting at 6:15 a.m.  This time though, she is complaining of lower abd pain around her belly button...nothing severe...just fussy with it.  I thought it could be constipation, so did give her Miralax to help her if needed.  She had a BM with little balls at 8:30 a.m. and then stated that she felt like she was going to throw up again but never did.  Instead, she drank some water and is feeling fine now.  No abd pain anymore either.  She is currently playing on the Wii (again, no fever or any other symptoms).  I cannot figure out what's up with her.    Anybody have any suggestions on what this could be?  If it continues, we will paying a visit to the pediatrician tomorrow.

Get the doctor to make a scotch tape test. Nausea, abdominal pain around the belly button, bad sleep, maybe even itching around the bottom are common symptoms of a parasite called pinworm/threadworm. This parasite is sadly very common, especially in kids. It is usually easy to get rid of, if you follow some strict hygiene measures, and get the tablets from the GP. Give her lots and lots of raw grated carrot to eat, as well as fresh pineapple and raw pumpkin seeds. Reduce her sugar and carbohydrate intake for a while.
By the way, if your wee one has pinworms, you need to deworm the whole family, since they are highly infectous.
Good luck!
